Sun, Sand, Sparklers and Summer fun!

It’s time to start thinking about summer vacation plans, and when better to celebrate the hottest, sunniest months of the year on the most patriotic day of the year. From sunrise to sunset, make the most of July 4, 2016 when you stay with us on the sandy shores of the Gulf of Mexico.

Start your morning with a delicious breakfast from one of our favorite Island establishments—this is going to be a busy day.

Join locals and visitors at the annual Fourth of July Parade, which will take place on the main drag, Estero Blvd. between School Street and the Times Square area, starting at 9am. Enjoy music, fun and a festive atmosphere at the red, white and blue parade.

Once the Parade wraps up around noon, why not hit the beach for a little R&R before the big show at night. Enjoy the middle of summer directly in the heart of paradise. Now that you’ve relaxed, you’re ready to take on all of the evening’s festivities.

Stop by for a cocktail at a great local restaurant, wander around Times Square or watch the sunset from your lanai, the decision is yours. Once the sun goes down, the evening truly becomes illuminated. Watch an amazing fireworks display over the Gulf of Mexico. You’ll be amazed at the size, scope and beauty of this display; it is considered one of the best in Southwest Florida.

Please note, the Matanzas Bridge does experience closures during both the parade as well as for the fireworks show. The bridge will be closed from approximately 9:30am to noon for the parade and will be closed to only oncoming traffic from 9:30pm to 11pm—plan accordingly!
