A stroll down the beach at sunset on Fort Myers Beach!
Summertime on Fort Myers Beach brings with it that wonderful carefree atmosphere with fewer crowds and no lines at your favorite eateries, but with that same beautiful beach and golden sunsets!
From the Beach Shell Inn there is nothing more beautiful than to take a casual afternoon stroll down the beach towards Fort Myers Beach Fishing pier where you encounter sunbathers, casual vacationers and locals alike taking advantage of our lovely warm weather. Just about the time you’re ready for a break and definitely need to slake that thirst the Times Square is in your path and you can take a turn towards Old San Carlos Boulevard and any number of venues for your beverage of choice out under an umbrella as you enjoy another one of our beach’s favorite activities: people watching.
Time Square boasts a great selection for dining or cocktailing or a simple snack. Off and on to the crossroads you find Old San Carlos with it’s brightly colored shops of souvenirs or fun items you’d like to bring back home for decoration or gifts for friends and family. A literal Sultan’s bazaar of stores with everything imaginable to either while away the hours or do some serious retail therapy. From Winds, Mango Bay, South Seas Trader to Curiosities, Ocean Jewels, Shipwreck Treasure Store and Kilwin’s Chocolates to tempt you!
As for dining, well you hit the jackpot as well. Yucatan Beach Stand is a fantastic outdoor tiki experience that everyone enjoys, along with Pete’s Time Out, Plaka for the Greek in you, Zushi Zushi for Japanese favorites, Sunset Beach, to Smokin’ Oyster Brewhouse you will be able to find the perfect fit to satisfy your island time apetite.
When all is said and done you can either just as leisurely stroll down the beach again home to your comfortable Beach Shell Inn suite, hail a cab or take the trolley!
